Meet the Orthodontist
 Dr. Stephen D. Hunsaker is a highly qualified orthodontist. Dr. Hunsaker is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, an accomplishment attained by only a small group of practicing orthodontists in the country. He maintains membership in the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.Dr. Hunsaker was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. Upon graduating from high school, he spent 2 years as a missionary for his church in San Antonio, TX. While in Texas he learned to fluently speak Spanish, which he now speaks on a daily basis. After completing his mission he attended Brigham Young University from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Dr. Hunsaker then attended dental school at the University of Maryland, Baltimore - Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. During dental school he maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and graduated at the top of his class with Summa Cum Laude honors. After practicing as a general dentist in Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Hunsaker decided to specialize in the practice of Orthodontics. He was accepted into the Orthodontic Residency program at the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a specialty certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree. Dr. Hunsaker and his family welcomed the opportunity to return to Arizona to start his practice of Orthodontics and raise his family. He and his wife, are the proud parents of four children. Dr. Hunsaker and his family stay busy with activities such as piano, swim team, baseball, dance, soccer, and gymnastics. His activities outside of dentistry include playing soccer, mountain biking, and spending time in the outdoors. Dr. Hunsaker is committed to treating patients with the utmost respect and providing the best care possible for his patients. He would like to thank his beautiful wife and children for supporting his efforts in achieving his dream of practicing orthodontics. |
